Team Members
Vivek Bansal, Founder
and Managing Director
Vivek Bansal has over 18 years of executive management
experience in private and public companies, including start-up, high growth
and established and global multinational organizations. Vivek has held
various executive positions at GlobespanVirata (now Conexant) as the
Executive Vice President and General Manager responsible for worldwide
marketing, product development and corporate strategies. Having
successfully scaled up GlobespanVirata, the company finally merged with
Conexant in 2004, to form a $900+ million world leader in the broadband
semiconductor segment. Prior to this, Vivek founded Ficon Technology, a
leading product and communication systems and solutions provider for
broadband platforms which was then acquired by Globespan. Vivek also worked
at NEC Research Laboratories, where he was part of the R&D team whose
efforts led to the very inception of broadband technology. Vivek currently
serves as Board Member of Infopro, Imetris, Aniotek, Vitendo Systems and
Accela Media. He is also an active board member in the Liberty
group in India.
Vivek has an engineering degree from MS University, India and a Masters in
Computer Science from Kansas State
University, USA.
Arvind
Chakravarti, Partner
Arvind brings with him 20+ years of experience in R&D,
Business Development and Strategic Marketing in areas of Telecom Services,
Communication Systems and Semiconductor systems solutions. Prior to Plus
Ventures, Arvind was Director of Worldwide Marketing at GlobespanVirata and
Conexant Systems Inc. (NASD: CNXT) where he focused on strategic marketing
and business development for the Broadband Access business across North
America, Europe and APAC regions. Arvind has worked at AT&T Bell Labs
and AT&T labs for 15 years where he was a Technical Manager. Later
Arvind was the Director of Systems Engineering at startup Eulix Networks, a
startup OEM in the telecom broadband equipment space. He has a Bachelors
degree in Physics and a Masters degree in Physics (Electronics) from Bombay University
and a Masters in Electrical Engineering degree from University of Missouri
– Rolla..
Aman
Batra, Partner
Aman brings with him 10 years of experience in finance and
accounting and a strategic mindset for operational and managerial business
strategy across a variety of industry verticals, including retail, media,
IT and ITES, telecommunications, and the Internet. Aman was with the
Corporate Finance Division of Ernst and Young India as Associate Vice
President where he was primarily involved with valuation and business
strategy assignments. Prior to that he was with the Investment Banking
division of PaineWebber Incorporated in USA. At PaineWebber his focus
was primarily on public and private equity, Mergers and Acquisitions. He
has worked closely on strategic initiatives with promoters and executive
management of companies across the globe. A select representation of his
clients include ITC, Godrej, Chambal, Birlasoft, NIIT, Nextel
Communications, Global Light Telecommunications, Churchill, Webdunia,
Millennium Information Technologies, and Aksh Optifiber. Aman holds a BBA
from Babson College, USA and a Diploma in Economics
from the London School of Economics.
Rajan
Suprabhat, Principal
Rajan brings with him 8 years of experience in Operations,
Strategic Management and Business Development across IT & ITeS, Media
& entertainment and internet. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded
MovieCan, a company focused in the entertainment solutions and movie
marketing vertical. He has also worked as Director Venture Development for
an Incubation and Private Equity firm where he was responsible for growing,
managing and steering portfolio companies across diverse industry verticals.
Before joining Plus Ventures, Rajan was with ECMi, an enterprise solutions
company as part of the management team to streamline the company's offshore
operations in India.
Rajan holds a Management from International Institute of Advanced Studies.
